Posted 2 months ago by Christi Abeln

Hello POPS Members!

We wanted to give a heads up about our NAPNAP Pediatric Orthopedic Special Interest Group (SIG) sponsored specialty symposium.  Please considering joining us if you are relatively new to peds ortho or let your colleagues know about this symposium. This is the first ever sponsored SIG symposium, and it is geared toward the education of the membership of NAPNAP as a whole, and we will be touching on the basics of peds ortho, but will be an intensive two day course.

NAPNAP and its Pediatric Orthopedic Special Interest Group will host Management of Musculoskeletal Conditions in the Pediatric Population specialty symposium on Aug. 10-11, 2019, at Hyatt Place Boca Raton, in beautiful Boca Raton, Fla.

This symposium focuses on a broad range of pediatric orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions including sports injuries, fractures, and upper and lower extremity injuries and conditions. Speakers will discuss pediatric hip conditions, pediatric spine conditions, back pain and scoliosis. Other symposium subjects include pain management, vitamin D deficiency, hand injuries and conditions, as well as musculoskeletal infections. Finally, the participants will be able to practice upper and lower extremity splinting on live models.
