President's Spring Message
Happy Spring POPS Members,
Our POPS organization has been busy planning a phenomenal conference. This year’s 2019 POPS Conference is chaired by Jennifer Nance and Stephanie Detamore de Jager and they both deserve special recognition for their diligent work in creating an amazing program for our annual POPS Conference. This year’s conference takes place on Tuesday on May 14 at the Westin in Charlotte, North Carolina. I encourage everyone to register via our website at https://popsociety.enpnetwork.com . Don’t miss early bird registration, which ends this week on March 14.
This year, we are also offering a beneficial and worthwhile CPT Coding and Documentation session specific to Pediatric Orthopedic Practitioners for our POPS/POSNA Symposium by Karen Zupko Associates, Inc. on May 16. Please be sure not to miss this valuable educational opportunity. Be sure to sign up and register to order a highly recommended workbook to follow along and take home for reference. Please see our flyer for more details on our website. We are fortunate to have Amanda Fletcher and Tracy Warhoover as our POPS Symposium coordinators. They have been instrumental in coordinating this opportunity for our members.
Anne Stuedemann and I are pleased to share that we have also begun planning for the IPOS Conference now that our instructors have been selected. I will share more details about the instructors in my next message.
As you can see, our organization has been busy providing educational opportunities for our members. Being a POPS member and Executive board member provides a great opportunity to collaborate and network with fellow orthopedic colleagues around the nation. I have opened the nominations for Vice President and 2-Member at Large positions. I highly encourage you to exercise your right to shape our organization by nominating someone you feel may be able to join our board. Descriptions for each position can be found on our website under the bylaws section. Feel free to send me your nominations or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions or concerns before March 31. Your opinion is valuable to our organization and I would love to hear from you!
Finally, I would like to thank all of the POPS Board member for all of your dedication and for your continued support for our organization! This organization would not be what it is today without everyone’s contribution. I am humbled and honored to be a part of POPS and your POPS president.
With Warm Regards,
Erica Flores Zepeda MSN, RN, CPNP-PC, AC
