Happy New Year POPS Members, As the New Year begins, I would like to reflect on our 2018-2019 Pediatric Orthopedic Practitioner Society goals to support our purpose.
“The purpose of POPS shall be to support continuing education, specialized training, research collaboration, mentoring, networking, providing public and patient education and promotion of our role.”
Our first goal was to continue to provide and support educational pediatric orthopedic focused opportunities and I believe we have accomplished that by providing our members an annual POPS Conference, a POPS Symposium at POSNA and IPOS sessions.
Jennifer Nance and Stephanie DeJager have been working very diligently on organizing a phenomenal program for our POPS Conference this year on May 14, 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Amanda Fletcher and Tracy Warhoover are coordinating and collaborating with Karen Zupko on a billing and coding session designed specifically for advance practice providers for our symposium this year on May 16, 2019 and Anne Stuedemann and Jill Ariagno planned an amazing program at IPOS last month. We will be sending out an announcement to start planning for IPOS 2019 sessions later this month.
